					<description>Greetings,
I am currently an active member of San Diego Chapter. Recruiting and "when to have our meetings" is a topic for discussion in our chapter, as well. I like the 3x5 card idea!
I am an active member, as I do the newsletter each month, but I am stationed in Seoul, South Korea. I am "younger blood" so to speak, as I joined when I was a LT (O-3) moving from Active Duty (AD) to Reserves. Currently I am an O5, with about 25 total years of service. I read the fine print as a LT, and the benefit of (then TROA) network for resumes and job service.
One of the challenges for Lunch meetings (ours is held on a Monday), is the meetings run long, and an AD member may only have 45 min's for lunch. Young ones with kids at home have other challenges. And, as noted, those who don't drive at night have challenges with dinner meetings.
One of the ways to get recruiting up is to remember "what's in it for THEM?" Why would they want to attend? I have found great friends, good counsel, great meals, interesting presentations, and I have even learned a little about our legislative process!
I don't know if this is helpful, but I think this is a great topic for discussion among the various chapters. What is working? Why? (put it on your 3x5 card!)
