RETIRED MEMBERS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN G-RAP PROGRAM
On 29 April 2007 at the Air National Guard Recruiting and Retention Conference in Atlanta it was announced that, in addition to drill status Guardsmen (DSGs), retired members are eligible to participate in GRAP.
This confirmation comes from Richard A. Smith, Chief Master Sergeant, USAF, Command Chief Master Sergeant, Air National Guard.
What Is G-RAP?
The Guard Recruiting Assistance Program (G-RAP) is a program designed for individuals who voluntarily apply online at http://www.GuardRecruitingAssistant.com to become eligible to serve as a part-time Recruiter Assistant (RA).
Each RA will cultivate quality potential Soldiers (PS) from within their individual shere(s) of influence. Once a PA is identified and pre-qualified, the RA will facilitate a meeting engagement with their local Recruiting and Retention NCO (RRNCO).
The triad of RRNCO, RA, and potential Soldier will then work closely together to process the potential Soldier and move them towards accession.
Upon enlistment, the RA will receive an initial payment of $1,000, with a 2 nd $1,000 payment upon successful shipment to Initial Entry Training (IET).
What Is A Recruiting Assistant?
Recruiting Assistants are embedded in their respective communities and are uniquely positioned to tell the guard story to potential soldiers. The RA identifies individuals within their sphere of influence to develop potential Soldiers, promote the benefits of service in the WV Army National Guard, and earn valuable additional income.
How Do I Become A Recruiter Assistant?
Individuals wishing to become an RA will register with an independent contractor, Docupac, to become a certified RA through this website: http://www.GuardRecruitingAssistant.com . On the website, there will be a series of qualifying questions. To register, you must complete the questionnaire and online training with Docupac. Once you have completed the training module you will be certified to be an RA for the NG. A welcome kit will then be sent to your home, and you can begin networking with potential Soldiers from within your sphere of influence.
