NEEDED TO SPEED NATIONAL TO CHAPTER COMMUNICATIONS

The Auxiliary Member Advisory Committee is looking for an auxiliary member in every chapter, someone to serve as a liaison between the national committee and your chapter. We have been looking for an efficient, cost-effective way to relay messages from our committee to auxiliary membership nationwide, and this plan seems to fit the bill. But we can’t make this operational without volunteer help from our valued military widows.

The only real qualification is to have access to e-mail and be willing to relay messages, as needed, to chapter presidents, chapter auxiliary representatives, or chapter boards. We don’t expect losts of e-mail traffic, so the time commitment will be minimal. You’ll be providing a real service to MOAA–especially to many widowsw who are often the last to know what is going on with respect to their benefits and entitlements. As you can see, this is no idle effort. If it were not for the effort of our auxiliaries in the past, literally thousands of military widows would know nothing about TRICARE For Life today.

Please notify MOAA headquarters as soon as possible with the name and e-mail address of a person willing to be your chapter auxiliary liaison. You can do this by sending an e-mail to the committee at auxiliarycommittee@moaa.org or by calling one of our staff advisors at (800) 234-6622, ext. 648. We do appreciate your cooperation with this effort.
