    CALIFORNIA VETERANS MEMORIAL

    The California Vietnam Veterans Memorial 20th Anniversary Coordinating Council is seeking information regarding members of the original 1988 California Vietnam Veterans Memorial Commission as well as others who assisted in the dedication of the Memorial:

    Kelvin H. Hunter Jr.

    The CVVM 20th Anniversary Coordinating Council is inviting these former commissioners to a series of events commemorating the dedication of the California Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Capitol Park in 1988 on December 12th and the 13th, 2008. There will be a dinner recognizing the efforts of the California Vietnam Veterans Memorial Committee on Dec. 12th.

    There will be a daily reading of the names of those who lost their lives in the Vietnam War beginning December 10th. The Capitol Community is urged to forward this information to any colleagues, friends and family who served during the Vietnam War. There will be a parade and ceremony around the Capitol on Dec. 13th. The parade committee is looking for participants
    for this event, which is co-sponsored by the California Department of Veterans Affairs and the California Council of Vietnam Veterans of America. Information on the event can be found at http://www.cavietnammemorial.com.
