					<description>Dear Congresswoman Davis,

Thanks for keeping me on your email list. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend either session but two members of our MOAA Board of Directors have requested an appointment with you on 2 April, (Sarah Rogers and Warren McDonald). That day is one of MOAA's major
lobbying expeditions in behalf of those currently serving and those who have served.

My reasons for writing are two-fold. First is to thank you for your leadership in gaining passage of HR551 and second to ask you what can be done to move the new legislation, now HR3997, out of Ways and Means and on to the floor for passage?

Before the Christmas break, it appeared that 3997 was a done deal and would win passage by voice vote. Since then, I have heard nothing about any support or movement on this legislation whichwould greatly assist the California Veterans Home Loan Program by authorizing QVMB financing of home loans currently limited to those whose military service began prior to 1 Jan 1977.
Please advise me on the status and what we can do to help to move it?

You have invested too much effort into supporting and nurturing this legislation for it to die in limbo. Your great efforts on behalf of Veterans are much appreciated.

Sincerely,

Bill Gavitt
