NOT MUCH TIME TO INFLUENCE MEDICARE/TRICARE VOTE!
Senate Medicare/TRICARE Vote Wednesday
After failing (by one vote) to pass legislation to stop a 10.6% cut in Medicare payments, the Senate has rescheduled a new vote for Wednesday, July 9.
Medicare has suspended processing claims until July 15 in hopes that a new law preventing the cuts can be passed by then.
Many doctors have said they’ll stop taking Medicare and TRICARE patients (TRICARE payments are tied to Medicare’s) if the cuts aren’t reversed.
We have only 24 hours to generate a wave of grassroots inputs to senators asking them not to fail America’s seniors this time.
Please urge your legislators to stop putting Medicare and TRICARE beneficiaries health care at risk and pass a fix now.
Take Action now. Telephone or e-mail your U.S. Senator’s office today and leave the following message:
I am writing to urge you to vote FOR HR 6331 when it comes up for a vote in the Senate on Wednesday.
It is essential that Congress act before July 15 to prevent a 10.6% cut in Medicare payments and restore speech and physical therapy coverage to hundreds of thousands of Medicare beneficiaries who lost it as of July 1.
I am looking to you to ensure Congress acts now to correct this terrible inequity.
