Editing and Deleting Posts

You can edit your posts in several ways. If you did not logout of the admin area, you will see an Edit This link under the post title on the main blog page. See image below. Click on that link and it will take you to the post field in the admin area. There you can make whatever edit you need to make.



If you did logout of the admin area, you will need to log back in. Once you are inside the admin area click on the Manage link.



You will then see a list of Posts with the Post ID, When it was posted, Title, Categories, Comments, and Author. To the far right will be an edit link if you have permission to edit the post. You will only be able to edit your own posts. The first example shows what the Manage area will look like if you can not edit. The second example shows what the Manage area will look like if you can edit.





Please note that you will only see the Edit and Delete links if the post belongs to you. Here you can either click on the Edit link or the Delete link. Be careful with the Delete link. Once you click it, the post and all the comments it might have will be gone forever. To edit the post, just click on the Edit link (shown in blue) and it will take you to the Post field for that post. Make your edits and click on the Save button. The edit will then be complete.
