To All Our Affiliated Chapters:
The California Council of Chapters (Cal-MOAA) is delighted to have you with us and together as a united voice we will continue in our efforts toward making a real difference for all military officers in all branches of the uniformed services by preserving their earned entitlements and in maintaining a strong national defense.
As of January 2006 we have 45 chapters and 5 subchapters within 8 geographical areas working to serve the military community. Each chapter provides monetary support for the Cal-MOAA Council and we, the Council Leadership, have created this Web site in order to further develop inter-communication and support to all our chapters.
We are passionate about presenting our nation’s leaders with views on important national security issues, and doing all we can to safeguard our earned entitlements. By standing united and sharing our knowledge, courage, boldness, and embracing a servant’s heart we will get the job done.

The California Council of Chapters (CAL-MOAA) provides direct and indirect support to affiliated chapters and is an effective platform for supporting the military community.
From time to time defense analysts claim monies used to fund benefits should be directed to the war effort, that entitlements do nothing to promote recruitment and retention. We have a professional obligation, indeed a mission, to extend influence, and help safeguard the earned entitlements of our members. In addition, we need to share our thinking on how our nation’s security can best be provided at home and abroad, specifically by insuring that resources can be better matched to mission requirements.

The California Council of Chapters (CAL-MOAA) is moving now to accomplish certain strategic goals, which will help insure mission accomplishment and the achievement of the organization’s vision.
Affiliated chapters and members should become familiar with the Council’s strategic plan and bylaws, keep up to date on developments, attend scheduled meetings, provide inputs to decision-making, and otherwise participate fully in current and future business affairs. Contact the Council President or your Area Director for full information about specific opportunities for service.
