Welcome to the website of the Alta California Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA). Alta Chapter serves the northern California counties of Sutter, Yuba, Butte, Nevada, and Colusa. Our Chapter received its charter on 15 April 1966 and still going strong with 230 members.

We meet on the last Thursday of each month, except July and August, usually at the Officers Club at Beale AFB. Meetings may be a luncheon or dinner featuring speakers with a wide varity of topics, some informative some entertaining. Details of each meeting appear in our monthly newsletter the “ALTA GRAM”. Each year we undertake major community service projects and present annual awards to distinguished ROTC and CAP cadets in our area. We give financil support to two jrROTC units and two Civil Air Patrol Squadrons.

Meetings

On the last Thursday of each month except July and August we have a membership meeting at the Officers Club, Recce Point, Beale AFB. Visitors are always welcome. Reservations are required. Meetings may be a luncheon or dinner and have speakers with a wide varity of topics, some informative some entertaining. Details of each meeting appear in our monthly newsletter “ALTA GRAM” The Executive Committee meets on the First Tuesday of each month except July and August. All members are welcome to attend.

Reservations can be made via phone to (530)822-0364 or e-mail to dmosad@sbcglobal.net Reservations to attend the meetings should be made any time before Tuesday noon. Be sure and state names, menu selection and number of people in party.

Your mission statement and some projects you undertake. Your Web site is a valuable tool for both retaining and recruiting members. Make sure you convey a sense of purpose by posting your chapter’s mission statement. Include a sentence in your mission statement about who is eligible to join the chapter. Then, list some projects or programs your chapter undertakes. This will remind existing members about the value of chapter membership and will incite potential members to seek out your chapter so they can participate in these programs.
