WARREN B. ENOS, COL, AUS (RET)

President


COL Enos most recently served as CAL-MOAA Interim Vice President. A member of Silicon Valley Chapter, he was appointed Director, Area 2/Bay Area in October 2004 and served in that role until late 2006.


He is a director of Silicon Valley Chapter, Santa Clara County, CA where he currently serves as 2nd Vice President-Membership; in addition, he assists others with personal affairs issues and needs, and prepares articles for chapter newsletter publication.

Enos is a retired U.S. Army Reservist. He was commissioned from ROTC in 1956, served two years active duty with the 4th and 5th Infantry Divisions, both as a tank platoon leader and basic training instructor.

He later entered the California Army National Guard, ultimately serving 11 years. He was assigned as aide-de-camp to the 49th Infantry Division commanding general, and later served as a tank battalion adjutant and division staff assistant intelligence and operations officer. His last National Guard assignment was in a civil disturbance role with the Adjutant General’s Office of Emergency Planning, participating in the Los Angeles Watts riots and U.C. Berkeley student riots, all during the 1960’s.

He entered the U.S. Army Reserve in the early 1970’s and over the years had assignments with the Office of Admissions at West Point and the Department of Army Staff, DCSPER and DCSOPS, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. He retired in August 1986 with 30 years service. A graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and Air War College, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal.

In the early 1960’s Enos began a career in Silicon Valley, ultimately taking assignments with Lockheed Missiles & Space Company, Syntex Laboratories, and ultimately as Personnel Director for Western Microwave Laboratories, a 650 employee microwave electronics company. Later he moved to the college campus, ultimately spending the years 1969-2003 at Ohlone College in Fremont, where he was a professor of management and later Dean, Division of Business.

In 1984 Enos formed a management consulting firm, Organizational Effectiveness Associates, and eventually served more than two dozen clients, some of which were international firms. He has an MBA from Stanford.

Colonel Enos lives in Sunnyvale with his wife of more than 40 years. They have three children and 6 grandchildren.
