The California Council of Chapters (CAL-MOAA) is moving now to accomplish certain strategic goals, which will help insure mission accomplishment and the achievement of the organization’s vision.

Affiliated chapters and members should become familiar with the Council’s strategic plan and bylaws, keep up to date on developments, attend scheduled meetings, provide inputs to decision-making, and otherwise participate fully in current and future business affairs. Contact the Council President or your Area Director for full information about specific opportunities for service.

The small number of California chapters not now affiliated are encouraged to examine the Council’s outlook for the future, study its strategic plan for years 2006-09, note the advantages of affiliation, and become an active part of the Council, helping to accomplish a mission which will benefit the entire military community. Chapters desiring to affiliate with CAL-MOAA should contact the Council’s Secretary.

MOAA members will find value in becoming familiar with CAL-MOAA and what the Council is trying to do. Leadership opportunities will be available at the local chapter and state Council levels. There is plenty of room for members interested in working on special programs or projects. If interested, members should make desires known to chapter officials and in turn Council officers and directors.

CAL-MOAA has introduced a new technologically advanced web log feature as part of the website, which provides late news, member viewpoints, and commentary, something which now approximates a statewide interactive newsletter. MOAA members up and down California can keep right up to date by looking in on the web log from time to time.

Redwood Empire Chapter is making a difference by supporting a local womens group that packed and sent 20 tons of donated goods to American troops. Read the local news story Here!
