To All Our Affiliated Chapters:

The California Council of Chapters (Cal-MOAA) is delighted to have you with us and together as a united voice we will continue in our efforts toward making a real difference for all military officers in all branches of the uniformed services by preserving their earned entitlements and in maintaining a strong national defense.

As of January 2006 we have 45 chapters and 5 subchapters within 8 geographical areas working to serve the military community. Each chapter provides monetary support for the Cal-MOAA Council and we, the Council Leadership, have created this Web site in order to further develop inter-communication and support to all our chapters.

We are passionate about presenting our nation’s leaders with views on important national security issues, and doing all we can to safeguard our earned entitlements. By standing united and sharing our knowledge, courage, boldness, and embracing a servant’s heart we will get the job done.

The Cal-MOAA Council provides general support to all chapters, in part by conducting periodic meetings for information giving and decision-making; lobbying for California legislation favorable to members, families, and survivors; and by keeping chapters informed by means of this Web site and our interactive Weblog (blog) feature.

When invited, and when Council and personal resources permit, area directors will meet with chapter boards to provide management consulting services, advice and counsel, and a wide variety of helpful resources. In addition, directors will serve as meeting speakers on MOAA topics, answer member questions, and provide special services such as conducting new officer installation ceremonies.

The Council Leadership will help chapters exploit their opportunities and solve their problems.

CAL-MOAA and affiliated chapters are an effective platform for serving the military community. We can and must make a difference. We aim to create a better world for our present and future members and their families.
